I wish I could have the smallest, most rustic, wedding ever. But I want family there, and friends. It’s worth it to do less cutesy things like this mis-matched chair look in favor of having all my favorite people with me.

I would love a cute, outdoor, rustic bridal shower! It’s a long ways away, but I think it would be so nice to be outside with cute desserts, sampling different teas. I think my favorite part of bridal showers, engagement parties, and the wedding itself is all the little details of wonderful decorations that come together to make the entire image beautiful. Kind of like weddings themselves: all those loved ones coming together to celebrate two people who want nothing more than to celebrate with all those other people.

If the wedding band I end up choosing is white gold or titanium, I’ll have to change my current setting. In that case, I dream of doing something like this.

I wish it were as easy as telling my bridesmaids to pick any dress they want, something in a neutral tone like gray, beige, or light brown, something flowy, something that makes them feel pretty, and comfortable. But I have a feeling that it won’t be that easy.

I got my ring re-finished. The scratches from time are all gone now: the glossy finish is glossier, and the matte finish is matte-er. I feel like it’s brand new, and now it’s going to start over with me.

I would love to get married on a farm, in a barn. This white barn with infinite lights strung inside looks like the perfect venue.

My fiance’s two favorite words: taxidermy and Wes Anderson. Not to mention that I happened to find an article of our Monsieur Anderson at our favorite taxidermy shop, Deyrolle in Paris. 

We were discussing engagement photos and how we would like ours done. We looked at other’s engagement sessions on websites like PW, S&H, Ruffled, and all we could find is examples of photographs that we didn’t want. He summed up perfectly what would describe us perfectly in an engagement session: Us surrounded by all our taxidermy and curiosities in a setting like a Wes Anderson movie. I have searched for some inspirational e-sessions that may be similar but I have found nothing. Can’t find it? Do it.
